Consultation Guide For Peel Residents

A Glenfaba and Peel MHK has created a consultation guide to help Peel residents preserve the town’s green spaces.

With one week of consultation to go, the guide helps Peel Residents to quickly oppose further Zoning of Greenfield Land for Housing Development.

In a critical effort to preserve Peel’s green spaces and limit the further expansion of the town, MHK for Glenfaba & Peel Kate Lord-Brennan has highlighted a Consultation Guide.

Consultation Guide

Kate Lord-Brennan said: “Peel’s future relies on our collective effort to protect the character and the environment of our town.

“Engaging in this consultation process is the main opportunity, prior to any next steps, to ensure residents’ concerns and views are known.”

The guide is to both inform and equip constituents to formally oppose the proposed zoning of green fields for more housing development on the outskirts of Peel.

As well as oppose the idea of a new ‘district link road’ in their response to the Modified Draft North West Area Plan as released in January by Government.

She added: “For Peel, it is simply time to say enough is enough and make the views of the community known in the strongest terms though official process, which will also help me in Tynwald when the time comes, and before, in direct representation.”

The Consultation Guide is available online at here with a PDF version available by request.

Paper Copies

Paper copies of the consultation response form, along with stamps and return envelopes, are also available upon request at Mace and at Ian Mitchell’s Newsagents.

Kate also held a public meeting last week in Peel, with attendance of around 60 people, whilst over 1000 leaflets have been delivered in Peel to raise awareness of proposals directly to residents.

The final consultation closes next week on March 27.
