Corporate Challenge Raises Nearly £10k For Hospice

An event which saw corporates battle it out against each other on inflatable obstacles raised £9,954.61 for Hospice Isle of Man.

The Big Corporate Challenge saw 18 corporate teams take on a series of inflatable obstacle challenges in an afternoon of fundraising at Vagabonds Rugby Club.

“This was our second year supporting the BIG Corporate Challenge and we’re incredibly proud to be part of it,” said Sue Hammett, International Head of CSR at Flutter International.

“It’s a brilliant way for companies to connect outside of work while giving back to a truly vital local service. Our team had a fantastic time.”

“We are so grateful to every team, supporter, partner and volunteer who made this event possible,” said Vanessa Smith, Head of Income Generation at Hospice Isle of Man.

“The support from our local business community has been outstanding. The funds raised will go directly toward delivering our 24/7, year-round care for patients and their families.”

This year’s winners were:

  • 1st Place: Sovereign Trust Company (Isle of Man) Limited
  • 2nd Place: Capital International Group
  • 3rd Place: Crowe Isle of Man LLP
  • Runner-up: IQ-EQ

The fundraising leaderboard winner was Ocorian, whose team raised £274, matched by the company to bring their total to £548.

Following overwhelmingly positive feedback and a doubling of team entries this year, Hospice Isle of Man is now exploring the potential to make the BIG Corporate Challenge an annual fixture in its fundraising calendar.
