Fire fighters from Douglas were called to a kitchen fire in Onchan earlier this morning,
The fire had been extinguished prior to their arrival however the property remained smoke logged, which they cleared using a positive pressure ventilation fan having checked for any hot spots using thermal imaging cameras.
The occupants who are unharmed were alerted to the fire by a recently fitted smoke alarm, allowing them to act promptly and call the Fire Service quickly.
