Jamie Cringle will ride for Derek Sheils’ new Cosmic Racing outfit at TT 2026, switching to a BMW M1000RR prepared by Peter Hickman’s PHR Performance.
The move marks his first TT campaign on BMW machinery.
The 28‑year‑old has climbed steadily up the TT order since his 2022 debut, breaking the 125mph barrier in 2024 and taking 17th in the 2025 Superbike race as a late stand‑in for Bathams Racing.
He also collected three Bronze Replicas last year, including a personal‑best lap of 125.451mph in Superstock.
Sheils, an 11‑time TT top‑20 finisher, returns in a managerial role to lead the new team with support from Matt Crosson and Ivor Hatton.
Cringle said the move gives him “a real platform to push on in the big bike races,” while Sheils praised his “steady progression” and believes the BMW package can help him take another step forward.
