Jimmy Cubbon and Karl Drinkwater have been elected to the board of Port Erin Commissioners.
The former Castletown commissioner topped the poll in today’s by-election with Mr Drinkwater winning the other seat.
During the campaign Mr Cubbon said that one of his priorities would be to install a new recreational area for children and said that Port Erin is a “blank canvas” for development.
Mr Drinkwater also called for an n improvement in the play areas and more facilities for children. He also wanted to bring more people into the village and called for better social housing.
They join the board with Gerry Callister, Gary Chambers, Barbara Guy, Hannah Mackenzie, Hugo Mackenzie,
