DHSC Looking For New Chief Officer

The Department of Health and Social Care is advertising for an interim Chief Officer.

The wage for the Chief Officer is advertised at between £100,658 to £125,375 per annum.

Current Chief Officer, Paul Richardson was appointed only 19 months ago in August 2023, but is now set to retire.

Prior to working for DHSC, Paul worked within the NHS and as a senior civil servant in national government in the UK.

The Isle of Man Government says it needs “an outstanding individual to assume this unique, high-profile and demanding role”.

Gov’s ideal Chief Officer would “be an exceptionally motivated leader, highly effective and able to set and maintain a clear strategic vision”.

The candidate must “enthuse others with your genuine passion for shaping the best health and care system and commissioning its delivery through Manx Care”.

They must also be able to “ensure effective and efficient provision to service users, patients, carers and staff”.
