Health Minister Claire Christian is to ask Tynwald to support Treasury clearing a £20m overspend on DHSC’s budget.
She will bring a supplementary vote to Tynwald this month, asking the court to authorise Treasury to release the funds from the General Reserve.
The DHSC needs the cash to plug the gap after Manx Care blew its budget, again, while the DHSC also stepped in to fund extra cash for doctors.
Manx Care has previously said it will be up to £15m over-budget this year, despite receiving a large increase last year that saw the higher rate of income tax rise to 22%.
