Dog owners are being reminding to keep their pets under control as lambing season nears.
Isle of Man Constabulary dealt with numerous instances of livestock worrying due to dogs being off lead or not under proper control last season.
The force said will be working with Manx NFU and DEFA with regards to complaints about dogs roaming onto farmland and harming or killing livestock.
Officers are urging landowners and farmers to report instances of livestock being harmed or dogs running on land to the police.
DEFA says sheep worrying is a year round concern but is a particular concern in the lambing months of March to May.
Farmers can take legal action against those who don’t control their dogs whilst on their land, which can result in severe penalties including compensation claims.
