Douglas Council is asking residents not to put knives and sharp objects in the kerbside recycling boxes.
Staff found a knife on the collection rounds yesterday and says it can be a ‘danger’ to the team and residents.
The local authority says the correct method of disposal is to take the items to the metal skip at the civic amenity site.
