The House of Keys will consider a wide range of issues today, with MHKs set to question rising oil prices, sea services and ongoing industrial action at Bus Vannin.
Among the starred questions, Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper will ask the Chief Minister what contingency plans are in place should global oil prices rise significantly.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Tim Glover will seek an update from the Infrastructure Minister on progress with the long‑awaited Sea Services Framework.
While Jason Moorhouse MHK will ask the Cabinet Office how many voter registration forms were sent out addressed simply to “the occupier” and how many have been returned.
Keys Questions
A further series of unstarred questions will probe government departments on industrial relations, tax administration and planning enforcement.
Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson will ask the Health and Social Care Minister about the potential introduction of Jess’s Rule.
He will also seek clarity on whether a review of Hospice funding has been carried out.
Infrastructure will face multiple questions, including updates on the new sea services framework, Douglas bus facilities, airport frontage improvements and the contingency bus service operating during strike action.
Moorhouse will also ask Manx Utilities whether plans for the onshore windfarm include a sinking fund for future decommissioning.
Two Bills will receive their first reading: the Financial Services (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill 2026 and the National Health Service Reform Bill 2026.
