The deadline is fast approaching for entries to the much-anticipated Manx Telecom Parish Walk.

The deadline for entries is set for midnight on Sunday, May 5th, 2024, after which entries will not be accepted.

Over 900 enthusiastic competitors have already committed to the challenge, and organisers are enthusiastically hoping to reach the milestone of 1,000 participants by the closing date. The Parish Walk is a renowned endurance race that spans the length and breadth of the Isle of Man and holds a special place in the hearts of both locals and visitors alike. As the event draws near, Manx Telecom is encouraging individuals of all backgrounds and abilities to get involved.

Tony Edwards, a dedicated employee of Manx Telecom and regular Parish Walk participant, offers words of encouragement to those considering joining this years’ event.

Having completed the Parish Walk six times, Tony Edwards understands the unique blend of physical and mental challenges the race presents. He emphasises, “The Parish is 50% physical and 50% mental. You would be amazed at how far a person can walk if they get it into their head, they are capable.”

Tony, echoing the sentiments of countless participants, highlights the unparalleled experience the Parish Walk offers. “It’s a grand day out, regardless of where your target finishing point is” he asserts.

As the countdown to the May 5th deadline continues, Edwards encourages individuals to seize the opportunity and take part in this iconic event. “So have a go, what could possibly go wrong?” he challenges.
