Tynwald will sit from 10am today with a packed agenda covering government reform, healthcare, and public finances.
A central item is the proposed “One Government Estate”, which would see a new statutory board take control of all government land and property.
The move faces scrutiny, with questions raised about property rights, appeal mechanisms, and how the plan differs from a similar proposal rejected in 2009.

Healthcare is also in focus, as members debate plans for an all-age neurodivergent support and diagnosis pathway, aiming for phased delivery by 2029, subject to funding.
A wider general debate on Manx Care’s mandate and 2026–27 operating plan is also scheduled.
Economic issues will feature heavily. Members will revisit the Economic Policy Review Committee report on the structural deficit, alongside a Treasury economic update.
Questions have been tabled on the long-term sustainability of the National Insurance Fund, including the impact of recent policy changes.
Taxation
Taxation is also on the agenda, with a motion proposing joint income tax treatment for cohabiting couples.
Other business includes:
- A proposal to sell the Old Police Station in Castletown;
- Consideration of a tourism levy report;
- Approval of updates to sanctions, social security, aviation and customs laws;
- Changes to beneficial ownership procedures.
Question time is expected to probe Government spending control, capital funding bids, and financial oversight across departments.
A wide range of reports and accounts will also be laid before the Court.
