The Isle of Man Young Farmers team finished in third place at the National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs National Fencing Finals.
Lee Quayle, Nick Harvey and Finn Partington made up the team that competed in the finals of the fence erecting competition in Stafford.
The group of Manx lads competed against ten teams from across the UK, and were originally only two points off a podium place, however when the 3rd place team didn’t show up for the prize presentation, the Manx lads were bumped up to 3rd.
Team Coach, Dan Creer said that “after a gruelling two and a half hours in tough digging conditions, they just needing another 5 minutes to really perfect the fence”, according to coach Dan Creer.”.
The team is already planning for the 2026 competition and look forward to improving their skills under Dan’s tuition next year.
