Firefighters have put out a warning for anyone planning a controlled burn.
A crew from Peel was called out yesterday after one such burn went out of control.
A fire service spokesperson said: “Vegetation remains very dry and fires can spread quickly.”
If you are planning a controlled burn they ask you to contact, in advance, the emergency services joint control room on 697327.
The fire must be supervised at all times and you should ensure you have the means to put the fire out.
