Tesco will open one of its first rebranded stores to shoppers today.
The former Castletown Shoprite store is the first re-open as a Tesco Express convenience store.
Chair of the commissioners Jamie Horton says it’s an ‘exciting’ change for the town and hopes it will encourage more businesses to move to the south.
Shoprite sold all nine of its stores on the Island to the supermarket giant last October.
The renovated Castletown store will open at 8am.
