Foraging Vintners has issued a plea as stocks of its branded reusable cups drop to critically low levels ahead of the Cosy Nook reopening on April 1.
The Port Erin drinks producer said it bought 5,000 cups for last summer but “hardly have any left” as preparations begin for the new season.
The business thanked customers for taking part in its unofficial “Winter Storage Scheme” and urged anyone who may have cups tucked away in cupboards, car boots or picnic bags to return them.
Each returned cup will earn a 10p donation to a charity collection box.
The company said it is working to reorder stock, but with a lead time of more than 15 working days and cash flow tight, community help would be welcome to “avert this national crisis”.
