University College Isle of Man have celebrated the achievements of its Foundation Learning and Complex Needs students.
The annual Annie Gill Centre Celebration recognised the students’ dedication, growth and accomplishments.
As well as family, friends and staff, the students were joined in celebration by the Lieutenant Governor, Minister Daphne Caine MHK, Sarah Maltby MLC and Paul Craine MLC.

- Alan Halsall-Polo, winner of the Complex Needs Award sponsored by Autism in Mann
- James Crellin and Jamie Rice, winners of the Most Improved Full-time Learner Award sponsored by The Rotary Club of Rushen & Western Mann
- Thomas Unsworth, winner of the Most Improved Part-time Learner Award sponsored by Elaine’s Flowers
- Tamzin Tyler-Roberts, winner of the Contribution to Group & Team Award sponsored by Ardole Farm
- Georgia Pearson, winner of the Recognition of Outstanding Effort Award sponsored by Sadlers Agricultural Supplies
- Tyron Da Costa, winner of the Life Skills Award
- Ellie Lewis , winner of The Hive Literacy Award
- Iain Murphy, winner of The Annie Gill Award sponsored by the family of Annie Gill
- Liam Heald, winner of the Pride and Motivation Award sponsored by John & Gill Skinner
- Carl Simpson, winner of the Vocational Award- Work Experience Award sponsored by Douglas Rotary Club
- Thomas Dallimore, winner of the Student of the Year – the ‘Lauren Headley’ Award sponsored by Isle of Man Advertising & PR
- Dylan Butler, winner of the General Studies Student of the Year – the Dr. Sean Lynch Trophy
Foundation Awards
Jesamine Kelly, UCM’s Principal, said: “This year’s Foundation Learning Awards are particularly special as we celebrate a major milestone in UCM’s history.
“Our students have shown incredible resilience and determination, and at the event we honoured their academic progress, personal development and contributions to our community.”
