Isle of Man Meats has announced a new senior leadership team as part of a major restructure.
The move follows a strategic reset by the non-executive board, which took charge in late 2024 to realign the company’s direction.
The revamped leadership has signalled a want to engage local farmers with consumers and ensure resilience in Manx agriculture.
Damien Corcoran, chairman of the board since September 2024, said: “We acknowledge the significant challenges we face, and the team is fully committed to delivering steady, strategic progress as we evolve into a modern, efficient, and purpose-driven organisation.
“We must restore trust and strengthen our contribution to food security. In doing so, we will create a more sustainable and resilient future for the Island.”
Team
The new leadership team includes:
- Michael Barker – General Manager
- Amanda Wadsworth – Head of People
- Mike De Oliveira – Head of Production
- Chloe Duke – Head of Finance
- Garth Jerome – Head of Compliance & Procurement
Key priorities include improving operations, product quality, and farmer relations, alongside modernising facilities while preserving agricultural heritage.
Mr Corcoran emphasised collaboration with the Manx National Farmers’ Union (MNFU), saying: “The Board’s mission is to facilitate the efficient delivery of Manx produce.
“The Manx public are our primary customers, and we serve them through our network of local butchers.”
He praised staff for maintaining operations during a challenging period, adding: “Together, we will deliver real change; modernising operations while preserving our core values.”
