Fundraiser to Walk Raad ny Foillan in Memory of Friend

A men’s mental‑health advocate from Liverpool will travel to the Isle of Man next month to complete the full Raad ny Foillan coastal route as part of a 120‑mile fundraising mission.

Callum Ball, known online as BackpackBoz and founder of the Boz Cares community project, will make the journey from Liverpool to Douglas between August 10 and 16.

The challenge is raising money for James’ Place, the suicide‑prevention charity, in memory of his close friend Connor “Lavo” Laverty, who recently died by suicide.

Ball, whose previous endurance efforts include a 2,000‑mile walk across America for men’s mental health, also runs community mental‑health and homeless‑support projects in Merseyside.

He is due to arrive in Douglas at around 2pm on Monday, August 10 and plans to meet supporters before setting off on the coastal circuit at approximately 5pm.

The route is expected to finish back in Douglas on Sunday, August 16 ahead of his return ferry.
