VillaGaiety have confirmed details of their entertainment lineup for Christmas 2024 including new shows, cinema classics and returning favourites.
Programme highlights include staples in the Manx entertainment calendar such as:
- Manannan’s Winterfest;
- The Isle of Man Symphony Orchestra’s Christmas Gala Concert;
- Dr Peter Litman and the Cathedral Choir for a Wurlitzer Christmas Spectacular.
- RS Promotion’s Party Night featuring Retrospect also makes a welcome return for a night filled with Soul and Motown classics.
A weekend of fun and creativity suitable for the whole family will take place across the VillaGaiety site on the Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1.
The Isle of Man Arts Council will host their Christmas in the Arcade workshops including the making of wreath and garlands with Felicity Wood Designs, mosaic tree decorations with Debra Tracey of Isle Be Creative and Christmas cards with Quinn Shipton.
Festive Fun
Manx Family Concerts will present two performances of children’s favourite The Jolly Christmas Postman and there will be two screenings of family classic The Grinch Who Stole Christmas with a complimentary hot chocolate for all ticket holders.
Dragon’s Castle festive sessions will also run throughout the two days.
For film fans, this year’s programme also sees the welcome addition of a festive Snack & Screen with It’s a Wonderful Life running from December 3 – 5, and the ever-popular André Rieu’s Christmas Concert: Gold and Silver will screen in Broadway Cinema on the 7 and 8.
On Saturday, December 14, renowned local band Buncha Skankers will be bringing their fourth headline show ‘A Skanking Christmas’ to the Villa Marina’s Royal Hall.
They will be supported by special guests The Misfits.
Panto Time!
Rounding off the festive offerings for 2024 is the flagship family event in VillaGaiety’s programme which sees the annual pantomime take up residency in the Gaiety Theatre.
Stage-Ed return with the classic adventure of Dick Whittington which runs from December 20 – 31.
Tickets for all shows and events will be sale from 10am this morning (November 1).
