Ellan Vannin Fuels says it has reported a derogatory term directed at a member of staff to the police.
The alleged incident happened over the weekend and has resulted in the person being banned from its stores across the island.
The company said: “There is no place in today’s society for behaviour like this, and our team have our full support with progressing this with the police.
“We have the taxi registration that picked you up, and the police will very easily be able to identify you from CCTV and details from Taxi Company.
“As this incident was also on licensed premises, new legislation to protect individuals in the industry from abuse, and keep individuals out of licensed premises who cannot conduct themselves appropriately.”
