Fines have been issued to three people and 12 businesses for income tax and national insurance related offences.
In total, magistrates issued fines totalling £20,840.
The fines were broken down as below:
- Failed to pay income tax instalment payments and/or Class 1 NI contributions by the due date – 12 Corporates total fines £18,440
- Failed to submit personal income tax return form(s) at the correct time – two individuals total fines £1,900
- Failed to comply with a notice to submit Accounts in support of a Tax Return – one person fined £500
Where the relevant return(s) or accounts remain outstanding, a Court Order was granted requiring the submission of those return form(s).
