Manx Utilities says it expects to submit plans for its Garff sewage treatment works next month.
It has provided an update on its plans for the Anxfell site and its works in Peel.
In Garff, where it plans to build a treatment works in Axnfell, the authority said pipeline routes have been “modified following route walkovers, to avoid more sensitive ecological locations”.
It added: “Further comments have been received on the Environmental Scoping Report and are being assessed by the team.
“The planning submission is scheduled for June 2025.”
Peel
Much further along with its plans for Peel, Manx Utilities said that all its “pre-commencement planning conditions have now been discharged”.
It added: “Contracts with our preferred Contractor have been finalised and we are awaiting completion of the conveyance process to gain access to the land for mobilisation to site which is expected to be later this month.
“Once the conveyance is complete, we will publish our intended construction programme for the works.”
