Tim Crookall MHK has been defending his new position in the Council of Ministers today after the CoMin reshuffle.
The former Infrastructure Minister has been made a minister without portfolio.
In the House of Keys today Minister Crookall defended his position saying his “role consists of assisting and advising the Chief Minister with delivery and the efficiency programs across government”.
He said: “Ultimately, the Chief Minister retains oversight of these programs as well as the efficiency programs.
“I will have a focus on external relations, and I will also be supporting the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers with departmental budgets.”
He also said he has been in the job just over a week, and asked to be given the “opportunity” to get his feet under the desk and work with the chief minister and those involved.
