Former Health Minister Lawrie Hooper has said that the continued provision of a dedicated ME service is a “good decision” by Manx Care.
The Ramsey MHK said that the Health Mandate clearly states that Manx Care doesn’t need to provide a dedicated ME service anymore.
He said he’s “exceptionally glad that Manx Care have decided to ignore this and carry on doing what’s right”.
‘Good Decision’
Manx Care has reassured the public that the provision of the ME, CFS and Long Covid Service is not reducing or stopping.
It says that “the current service provision remains the same with therapeutic and medical interventions”.
Psychology provision remains at one day week, which can be accessed via referral.
