A crane that was involved in a crash yesterday afternoon had been under police escort earlier in the day.
A bus was involved in an incident on Fishers Hill with a crane which resulted in several of the bus’s windows being smashed.
The Isle of Man Constabulary told Manx.News: “Once the cranes arrived at their intended destination, the Police were not involved in any onward escort.”
The Police confirmed in the morning they had assisted with escorting a small number of cranes in the south of the island.
Not Under Escort
The collision which happened yesterday afternoon involved a single decker bus and one crane, which had been under escort earlier in the day.
Damage was caused to the bus as a result of the collision but thankfully no persons involved received any injuries.
The road was closed for a short period of time to allow for the clearance of debris from the scene.
