Sir John Lorimer and Lady Lorimer were busy on Saturday making the most of the September sun by visiting many of the events going on island-wide.
The Governor and Lady Lorimer visited the classic cars on show on Douglas Promenade before heading to Bishopscourt Farm near Kirk Michael to catch up with the organisers, supporters, and competitors at the Manannan Sheepdog Trials.
They then headed to Kirk Andreas for the 125th Anniversary of the Andreas Produce (‘Root’) Show, where local exhibitors displayed some of their amazing fruit and vegetables.
His Excellency and Lady Lorimer then headed back down south to Castletown, for the Fire Island Chilli and BBQ Festival.
Government House said: “It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the atmosphere in Castletown Square. The Chilli Eating Competition was brilliant; not for the faint hearted”.
