Doctors from numerous GP practices will be attending Service Development Session’s throughout April.
On these days, there will be no routine appointments at multiple GP practices across the island.
The Service Development Session’s will run from April 2 to April 9.
Who, What, Where & When?
Peel, Palatine and Hailwood GP Practices
GPs from Peel, Palatine and Hailwood GP Practices will be attending a Service Development Session on the afternoon of April 2.
There will be no routine appointments at Peel, Palatine and Hailwood GP Practices from 12:30pm on Wednesday (April 2).
However, all practices will remain open as usual to make any future routine appointments, request test results or order repeat prescriptions.
There will be a GP service providing urgent care for patients registered with Peel, Palatine and Hailwood practices operating from 12:30pm until 6pm.
Finch Hill, Kensington, Snaefell, Village Walk and Laxey GP Practices
GPs from Finch Hill, Kensington, Snaefell, Village Walk and Laxey GP Practices will be attending a Service Development Session on the afternoon of April 3.
There will be no routine appointments at Finch Hill, Kensington, Snaefell, Village Walk and Laxey GP Practices from 12:30pm on Thursday (April 3).
However, all practices will remain open as usual to make any future routine appointments, request test results or order repeat prescriptions.
There will be a GP service providing urgent care for patients registered with Finch Hill, Kensington, Snaefell, Village Walk and Laxey practices operating from 12:30pm until 6pm.
Ballasalla, Castletown and Southern GP Practices
GPs from Ballasalla, Castletown and Southern GP Practices will be attending a Service Development Session on the afternoon of April 9.
There will be no routine appointments at Ballasalla, Castletown and Southern GP Practices from 12:30pm on April 9.
However, all practices will remain open as usual to make any future routine appointments, request test results or order repeat prescriptions.
There will be a GP service providing urgent care for patients registered with Ballasalla, Castletown and Southern practices operating from 12:30pm until 6pm.
Speak to a Doctor
Patients are reminded that it is not a drop-in service, and if they need to speak to a doctor about any urgent issues, they should phone their GP Practice who will triage the call, and, where appropriate, provide access to the GPs on call for the afternoon.
The Manx Emergency Doctor Service (MEDS) will operate as usual from 6pm.
Anyone who thinks they have a life-threatening emergency should phone 999 and ask for the Ambulance Service.
