Culture Vannin is offering up to 30 project grants of £500 to help bring the Manx language to life in exciting new ways ahead of next year.
The first deadline for applications is July 25 and project ideas include creating new artwork, arranging songs for schools, taking Manx lessons to new audiences, using recorded samples of Manx speech in new electronic music tracks, or your own idea.
Treisht26 projects are based around five themes:
- Young People & Families;
- Identity & Sense of Place;
- Community & Creativity;
- Research & Resources;
- Lifelong Learning.
These themes will sit at the heart of a year-long celebration throughout 2026.
Grants Available
Director of Culture Vannin, Dr Breesha Maddrell, said: “We have such an amazing creative community here in the Isle of Man, we hope to inspire people to connect with the Manx language in simple ways but to great effect.
“Even if you have no knowledge of Manx, supporting materials and guidance will be provided, and we are looking forward to seeing people enjoying making new connections, playing with the language creatively, or taking it to new audiences.”
