Nathan Harrison has reflected on a successful Southern 100 meeting, where he again proved he can hang with some of road racing’s top names.
Racing under the H&H Motorcyles banner, Harrison added to his impressive showing in this year’s TT.
Harrison claimed a podium position in Wednesday evening’s senior race with this year’s event seeing him become the fourth fastest rider ever round Billown behind Dean Harrison, Davey Todd and Micheal Dunlop.
In typically understated fashion, the Onchan man said this “isn’t too shabby”.
Strength to strength
His final race ended early following an incident.
Nathan said: “Shame we didn’t get to finish that last race, hit a false neutral into cross four ways on the second to last lap got it stopped and didn’t get my bloody foot down and fell over and they wouldn’t let me carry on as bike fell over.”
Despite this, he remained as ever positive, adding: “Yes what an idiot I am but have to take the positives out of it, my year is going from strength to strength and riding the best I’ve ever rode.”
The racer paid tribute to his support team, saying “they gave me a great couple of bikes which didn’t miss a beat along with all my sponsors and supporters”.
He also congratulated fellow competitor Dean Harrison and thanked organisers, sponsors and officials for the great event.
