Manx Care has confirmed how health and social care services will operate during the Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT period.
That is from today until Friday August 29.
The Emergency Department at Noble’s Hospital will be operating as normal but GP practices will be closed on Monday August 25.
However, the Manx Emergency Doctors Service (MEDS) will operate at various times, with phone lines closing 15 minutes before service ends.
Ramsey Minor Injuries and Illnesses Unit (MIU) will be open 8am to 8pm throughout and X-ray services will be available weekdays 9am to 5pm and weekends 10am to 4pm.
A minor injuries service at Noble’s Hospital will run 9am to 8pm daily, with one or two practitioners per shift.
The Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism Centre will close on Monday August 25, while emergency dental care will be available 9am to 11am via the emergency dental rota.
Most opticians will close on August 25, except Specsavers and Boots in Douglas. Urgent eye cases will be directed to MEDS or the Emergency Department.
Community therapy, podiatry, and Macmillan Cancer Support services will also pause on August 25, with emails and calls addressed from Tuesday 26 August.
The Patient Transfer office will be closed on August 25, with urgent queries directed to the Air Ambulance Service Co-ordinator.
Day Centres for Older Persons will see reduced transport services, with East Centre closed August 25–29, while others remain open for self-transporting users.
