Manx powerlifter, Lisa Warrillier-Grant is hoping for the support of the public to get her to the 2024 Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships.
Lisa is on the search for financial support for costs to coach and compete as part of the Isle of Man Commonwealth Powerlifting Team in South Africa in October.
She says: “Not only do I need to consider the costs of travel, accommodation, expenses etc but also being a self employed small business owner my loss of earnings and requirements to provide cover while I’m away”.
Commonwealth Championships
As head coach for the team, Lisa is required to be away for longer than many of the other competitors.
Powerlifting is a completely self funded sport and Manx Powerlifting relies on donations to support the whole team.
The Championships will be held in Sun City, South Africa, from the October 4 to 13.
