A talk in Onchan next week will focus on the history of St Peter’s Church.
The Story of St Peter’s’ Onchan Parish Church will be led by Jason Postlethwaite.
Now sitting in a prominent place in the centre of the village, the present church was built in 1833 to replace the much smaller 17th century Parish Church.
The Friends of Onchan Heritage said: “Jason will be pulling together the history of St Peters’, the part it has played in guiding the people and in the forming of Onchan Village.”
It will be held on Wednesday October 30 at 7:30pm in the Village Hall on Royal Avenue. Admission is £2 to members and £3 to non-members.
