International Financial Group Limited has been announced as the first island corporate sponsor for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
This follows a significant donation of £10,000.
The charity provides critical care interventions and helicopter transfers to UK hospitals for seriously ill or injured patients with all flights are staffed by a specialist paramedic and a consultant.
A delegation from GNAAS, including CEO Joe Garcia, visited IFGL’s International House for a cheque presentation and to deliver a talk to staff about their vital work.

IFGL CEO Rob Allen said: “We’ve had such a lovely reaction from our team here at IFGL to our support for GNAAS, which is so critical to the care and welfare of people in the Isle of Man.
“I am very proud to be able to say that our support will help GNAAS continue to provide the island with this service in the future.”
Joe Garcia, Chief Executive at GNAAS, added: ‘On behalf of all colleagues within GNAAS, I am delighted to have IFGL as our first Corporate Partner on the Isle of Man, we are so grateful for the generous donation in support of our service.
“This contribution from IFGL will directly support the ability for our aircraft to safely transit the over sea crossing to the Isle of Man.”
While receiving funding from Manx Care for missions, GNAAS must raise an additional £124,000 annually for specialist aircraft adaptations required for sea crossings.
The service has responded to 71 callouts on the island in the last three years.
