TV legend Noel Edmonds has told Manx.News of his love of the Isle of Man and our community spirit.
The Noel’s House Party and Deal or No Deal star was speaking as he attended the 2025 Royal Agricultural Show.
Having spent a significant amount of time on the island, Mr Edmonds is believed to have bought a house here and has been regularly seen out and about with his friends and family.
“I love it here. I just absolutely love it. This is what life’s all about. People smiling,” he said, speaking of the Royal Show. “There’s people here, families here, everybody here, just having a good time.”
Mr Edmonds praised the island’s traditional values, saying: “This is traditional community values. This is traditional rural values and activities. I get an energy from this.
“I love animals, I love the charities that are here. I love the people. So, yeah, I’m in love with the Isle of Man.”
He also highlighted the work of local charities, particularly the air ambulance and mental health support organisations.
“These are all volunteers. They’re giving freely of their time,” he said. “They’re helping people who feel that life is hopeless, and they’re putting hope back into their lives.”
Mr Edmonds added, “We’re going back to our home in New Zealand in a few weeks’ time, but we will be back.”
The show continues today, celebrating the island’s agriculture and community spirit.
