Increase in anti-social behaviour and criminal damage in Laxey

Police are appealing to the public for any information they can provide in relation to an increase in anti-social behaviour and criminal damage within the Laxey area.

Over the festive period damage was caused at the Rose Gardens shelter on New Road where unknown persons have cut the wires for the Christmas lights.

Officers have also seen fires being set to toilet paper in the Public toilets by the football club and more recently a hosepipe has been placed into the Manx Electric Railway Building and then turned on causing significant flood damage.

Patrols will be in the Laxey area and welcome any information regarding these incidents.

They are rare in the village and we suspect that the same individuals will be responsible. Enquiries are ongoing and updates will be provided.
