A three-year-old from Castletown has been selected to represent Alder Hey Kidney Transplant Team in the British Transplant Games.
The games take place from August 1-4 in Nottingham.
Last year Aedan received a last-saving kidney transplant and is now celebrating walking and walking away from dialysis, which he had been on all his life.
Supported by the Steam Packet, Aedan is raising money for the Alder Hey Childrens Kidney Fund.
Bringing people together
Aeden’s mum, Shirley, said : “The Games are attended by people who have been through donation, and also the families of people who have given transplant. The Games give people the opportunity to promote organ donation and bring everyone together.”
The Steam Packet said: “We’re honoured to provide travel assistance to Aedan and his family for the Games through our Manx Community Assistance scheme.”
