Interim Census Set For Next Month

An interim Isle of Man census will take place on next month which will provide updated insight into the island’s population and community needs.

Households will receive letters during the week of April 20 explaining how to complete the census online, with options also available by paper form or phone.

The Cabinet Office says the data gathered on Sunday, April 26, will help shape decisions on key services including health care, education, housing and transport.

Minister for the Cabinet Office, Hon David Ashford MHK MBE, said the census offers “an important snapshot of life on our island” and ensures planning and policy decisions reflect current realities.

He added that the interim census will feature fewer questions than the 2021 full census but will still deliver essential information.

Engagement with organisations, community groups and businesses is already under way.

Further details on how to request, complete and return census forms will be published in early April.
