Government funding for the Isle of Man’s five major team sports little more than £380,000 across the last three financial years.
The data, released following an FoI reveals significant fluctuations in annual grants from the DESC.
The Isle of Man Cricket Association received the highest single amount, £40,250 in 2022/23, though its funding fell to £23,200 by 2024/25.
The Manx Netball Association was awarded £36,048.10 in 2023/24, while the Isle of Man FA’s grant was nearly halved from £31,624.16 to £14,192.05 over the period.
The most pronounced change was for the Manx Hockey Association, its allocation dropped from £29,997.41 in 2023/24 to £5,334.20 the following year.
By contrast, the Manx Rugby Football Union’s funding rose from £1,346.96 to £14,200.
