At least eight Manx runners will line up at the Tokyo Marathon this weekend, with several aiming to add to their collection of World Marathon Majors.
Two athletes, Matt Callister and Helen Taylor, are on the brink of completing the full set of Six Star marathons, a milestone achieved by only a small number of Manx runners to date.
Others continuing their Six Star journeys include Christa Cain, Simon Scott and Ian Goatman, who are each targeting their fifth star, while Bernie Johnson is set for her fourth.
Ash Humphrey and Will Watterson will also be on the start line in Japan.
The Isle of Man already has a growing list of Six Star finishers: Sharen Ashley‑Gardner, Tim Knott, Mark Burman, John Quaye and Clive Dugdale.
