Island represented in Normandy for D-Day Landings anniversary

The Isle of Man will be represented in France for the anniversary of the D-Day Landings.

Claire McCabe is carrying the British National Standard today and Thursday, but is currently rehearsing on Gold Beach in Normandy.

She will bear the flag at the commemorative service which King Charles and Queen Camilla are due to attend, along with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and the US President Joe Biden.

This will be Claire’s last duty carrying the National Standard of the Royal British Legion.
