The women’s national team have won their friendly game for this year’s Island Games.
Wayne Lisy’s side won 4-3 thanks to a late Rebecca Cole goal.
After falling behind to a first minute goal, Pippa Wallis equalised for the Manx ladies in the third minute.
Ynys Mon took the lead again after 15 minutes before Sarah O’Reilly equalised on the half hour mark to make it 2-2 at the break.
The second half saw the Manx side take the lead through Tia Lisy in the 63rd minute before Ynys Mon equalised with just 10 minutes left.
As the clock ticked down the Manx ladies won a penalty that was dispatched by Cole to end their preparations for Orkney with a win.
Our thanks to Paul Hatton for his updates this afternoon.
