With Manannan’s cloak wrecking travel plans at Ronaldsway, businesses and residents have helped find somewhere for stranded passengers to stay tonight.
Several flights were delayed or cancelled due to the fog at Ronaldsway, with Visit Isle of Man and Civil Defence stepping in to help.
Alongside the official help, residents and businesses used social media to find rooms for people, with islanders offering up spare bedrooms and blow up mattresses.
Visit Isle of Man said: “A big thank you to the joint efforts of the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, Isle of Man Airport and our emergency planning teams in helping people continue their journeys.
“A call out to our wonderful visitor economy – if any of our registered accommodation providers have availability tonight, please let us know.
“Let’s come together and show the true meaning of a warm Manx welcome”
