Chief Minister Alfred Cannon has welcomed the Italian ambassador to the UK to the island.
Inigo Lambertini is on the Island as an official guest of tomorrow’s Tynwald Day proceedings.
He was accompanied by Matteo Corradini, Head of the Italian Consulate in Manchester, and Nicolo Biscottini, chief of staff to the ambassador.
A government spokesman said issues of mutual interest were discussed, including “EU/UK and Isle of Man relations, healthcare, business links and sporting connections”.
