Kirrie Jenkins has announced she will stand in the forthcoming House of Keys General Election for Arbory, Castletown and Malew.
Mrs Jenkins said she believes the Isle of Man needs “a new kind of leadership” that is responsible, experienced and willing to challenge long‑standing approaches.
She said the island has “enormous potential” but requires fresh thinking and long‑term planning to deliver meaningful improvement.

Born and raised on the island, Mrs Jenkins has built a career in the international finance sector, specialising in fiduciary services, corporate governance and assurance.
She said this background has given her the skills to scrutinise decisions, ensure accountability and deliver value for taxpayers.
She has served as a commissioner for Arbory and Rushen since 2021, working with government departments, local authorities, charities and community groups.
She said concerns raised by residents, including housing pressures, healthcare access, cost‑of‑living challenges and business strain, show the need for government to “listen properly” to those affected by its decisions.
Mrs Jenkins also highlighted her family’s long‑established farming background at Moorhouse Farm and her involvement in organisations supporting agriculture, tourism and marine conservation.
She said the constituency faces differing pressures, from development in Malew to heritage protection in Castletown and safeguarding rural character in Arbory, and argued that growth must be planned with communities at its centre.

Sitting Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHKs Tim Glover and Jason Moorhouse have yet to declare their intentions regarding re-election.
Mark Firth has also declared his intention to stand in Arbory, Castletown and Malew.
