Joe Named as Human Rights Campaign Honouree

Manx actor Joe Locke has been named as an honouree for the Human Rights Campaign.

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is the USA’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) civil rights organisation.

The 21-year old will be honoured with HRC’s Impact Award for bringing meaningful LGBTQ+ stories and voices to audiences across the world.

He is one of three honourees, with the other two being Louisa Jacobson and RaeShanda Lias.

Joe will be recognised at the event on February 1 which is being held in New York.

Speaking on the award, Joe said: “I am so honoured to be recognised by the HRC in this way.

“It’s been a joy and a privilege to be a part of telling LGBTQ+ stories and contribute to a world where everyone, regardless of who they are or who they love, can live authentically and without fear.”
