A retired firefighter has been recognised for an “outstanding career” spanning nearly three decades at Peel Fire Station.
Jonathan Cover, who retired late last year, was formally honoured by the Fire and Rescue Service at a gathering attended by family, former colleagues, and the current crew.
Station Officer Peter Cain presented a commemorative axe on behalf of station colleagues, while Chief Fire Officer Mark Christian presented an address on behalf of the government.
In a post, the Fire and Rescue Service extended their gratitude, saying: “We extend our sincere thanks to Jonathan for his service and wish him and his family good health and a long, happy retirement.”
