Seafood shop in Ramsey, Kermelly’s, is to enter a new era as it has been sold due to illness in the family.
Kermelly’s will carry on with new owner Arran Phillips, who comes with over 35 years of experience in the seafood industry.
The business was born during the pandemic as the owners sold their produce directly from the boat in Ramsey.
Following the demand for the seafood, the decision was made to open up its shop on Bourne Place.
Since then, Kermelly’s has gone from strength to strength and really has been a testament to those who built the business.

The previous owners have said that ‘Rhys will be staying on and Danny along with other local boats will continue to supply Kermellys with fresh local catch’.
On a social media post Kermelly’s said: “Starting from nothing to build up the business with lots of hard work, commitment, support from our family, friends and our amazing customers.
“We have proven that whilst juggling between working full time and having kids that hard work and commitment even in hardest of times achievements can be made.”
It thanked all the family, friends, suppliers and customers for the loyalty and support over the years.
