After a strong debut in 2025, multiple British Sidecar Champion Steve Kershaw will return to the TT alongside passenger Rhys Gibbons.
The 38-year-old Scottish driver will again be partnered by 23-year-old Gibbons, with whom he secured the 2025 British Formula Two Sidecar Championship.
The duo will contest both three-lap Sidecar TT races aboard the Express Tyres/Quattro Group LCR Honda.
Kershaw, who can now boast British titles in the Formula Two and Formula Two Cup categories as well as the Formula One class using both 600cc and 1000cc engines, now the only driver in history to have now won all the British Championship titles made a much-anticipated TT debut last year, joined by Gibbons, the 23-year old having finished in a superb third place aided by a near 116mph lap with his uncle Alan Founds on his maiden TT outing in 2024.
The partnership impressed with a 110.577mph lap in qualifying last year. Despite an early retirement at Ballacraine in the opening race. Eager to get a race result under their belts, the duo upped their pace to 110.927mph in race two, which helped them claim a strong seventh place and silver replica at the chequered flag.
“We are fully focused on TT 2026 and learned a lot from last year, with some small modifications to the bike and the intriguing introduction of the restrictor plates, we’re determined to push for strong results this year, building on a solid performance in 2025.” said Kershaw.
