MHKs have rejected bid by an MHK to seek an urgent debate on Crogga’s plans to drill for gas in Manx waters.
At the end of questions this morning, Juan Watterson SHK informed the house Julie Edge was seeking a debate of “urgent public importance”.
Ms Edge’s motion was that the House of Keys is of the opinion that the Department of Infrastructure should put in place all necessary arrangements to support the fulfilment of the licence with Crogga.
As is necessary, four members stood to support Ms Edge’s motion being considered, but when this turned to a vote, 15 members voted against, with just eight voting in favour.
As a result, the motion was not debated.
